American Studies is one of the best programs available at Brigham Young University for those interested in law. Our graduates regularly enter law schools all over the country, including many of the United States’ most prestigious law schools. American Studies students preparing for law school may benefit from receiving major credit for up to six hours of law-related internships, as well as credit for completing BYU courses related to the US Constitution and legal system. As undergraduates, our American Studies majors have recently received course credit for internships ranging from local law firms to international experiences including clerking for a judge sitting on Thailand’s Supreme Court.
